Modus Operandi, Winter 2006
We’re going to be doing a lot with this blog starting this quarter. Visitors can expect to come back every week, find something new and thought-provoking, and, we hope, join in. Our goal is to connect as much of what we’re doing in the WAC program to our blog as possible.
Once a week, I will be posting a column called “This Week in WAC,” where I’ll be promoting up-coming activities, highlighting our programming, calling attention to interesting conversations in the blog, and briefly reflecting on topics that might be of interest to the OSU WAC community.
Also, each week, one of the WAC team will be posting a reflection of some kind: projects they are working on, articles they’ve read, ideas about teaching writing they are mulling over, or any WAC-related events that have struck them in some way. We plan, as well, to invite guests to blog with us. Ohio State is fortunate to have a wonderful, vibrant community of scholars who are doing fascinating work in composition across the disciplines.
As we do workshops through the quarter, we will invite participants to post their thoughts on each workshop. We will also coordinate blog workshops online–the first will be a series on using the functions of Carmen to create communities within their classroom. Various groups will be invited to post about writing in their discipline.
That’s where we’re going to start–so, join in!
